Holy Spirit Parish has a vibrant Catechist Group comprising twentyfour catechists who minister to needs of 250 Catholic students in three State Schools within the parish boundaries. The catechists conduct Special Religious Education classes at Truscott St., Ryde East and Cox’s Rd. school on Thursdays for half an hour. Each catechist has a prayer partner who prays for the catechist and the children in the class. This prayer support is greatly appreciated by the catechist. The catechists also organise two or three Masses each year for the parents and children and the children really enjoy participating at these celebrations.
