About: The Legion of Mary was founded by Frank Duff in Dublin in 1921 and established in Sydney in 1942. Membership is open to men and women of all ages with a desire to grow closer to Jesus through devotion to Mary his mother. The first aim of the Legion of Mary is personal sanctification of its members through prayer and good works.

Current work being done by the Legion in the parish is home visitation to the sick, the elderly, the lonely and the house bound and sympathy visits to the bereaved. The New Horizons Nursing Home is visited each month and the Rosary is recited with residents.
